Lovely live-edged bowl of locust wood. The rim follows the natural contours of an unusually shaped piece of wood. The bark has been removed, but the light colored sapwood that remains contrasts nicely with the darker heartwood.
Once-turned from green wood
Sap wood is bleached to maximize contrast

Buffed with carnauba wax
