Striking bowl with sharp contrast between the charred sections and the natural colored rim. It was once-turned from green wood. Using still-wet wood produces wonderful and unique results, because the wood can move in unpredictable ways as it quickly dries. This technique highlights the nature of the wood itself and produces natural, organic vessels. In this piece the results include a subtle warping to the rim.
